Why Buy Chinese Products ?
As with every product on the market there has to be progression in design, not just to keep manufacturers manufacturing and sales people selling, its a natural human trait to want to do better.
In the electric vehicle industry this has never been more prominent than today in China, they are producing some of the worlds best electric vehicles designed and manufactured by people who have become experts in their field.
Segway type scooters are a case in point, 10 years ago China knew nothing of such an invention, today they have not only mastered the concept but taken it to greater heights producing the Chegway Scooter thats just as good as the original Segway.
The manufacture of E-Bikes has taken the industry to a new level, gone are the days of old fashioned peddle cycles, in come electric bikes which have no rivals, design has been at the forefront for many years, making Chinese E-Bikes stylish, functional and best of all .......priced to sell.

The following statement is included on most of my web pages, however here is a new updated version which will be included in time.
When ordering products for delivery to countries from outside of the EU you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, please note that when ordering, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the products. Your privacy is important to us and we would like our international customers to be aware that cross-border deliveries are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities. However we do employ top agents who will do their best to make the customs experience smooth and painless.
Some items are duty free such as GIFTS which we use when appropriate so we are saving you and us money, this is because in most cases we pay the 6% duty and 20% VAT, only customers who bother to read this information can ask us for details by sending an E-Mail to Alan's Personal Email with the subject "PAY DUTY YES or NO", we can only do this to some EU countries because duty varies throughout the globe.
Countries that we definitely cannot pay the import duty and tax (because they are too high) include: Italy, Brazil, Russia and the far and middle east, Australia have different laws when it comes to imports we have found in certain cases that customs refuse to let items through without certain documents, so if ordering from Oz please do your homework first.
Web site link for checking your duty and Tax costs: http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-import-duty-and-tax-calculation/ Choose country "Importing from" as China, Product cost as $200 shipping cost as $80 Insurance as $0,.
NOTE TO FRAUDSTERS:
WE ARE FULLY AWARE OF VARIOUS SCAMS REGARDING RETURNS OF "FAULTY" PRODUCTS and UNLAWFUL CHARGE-BACKS. SINCE THE START OF 2012 WE HAVE TAKEN STRONG MEASURES TO COMBAT THIS. ALL OUR ITEMS ARE MARKED AND CHIPPED IN MORE THAN ONE WAY SO WE WILL KNOW IF YOU HAVE TAMPERED. ALL SERIAL NUMBERS OF ITEMS HAVE BEEN RECORDED BY US ALONG WITH THE MANUFACTURERS. WE HAVE WORKED WITH THE POLICE, MANUFACTURER, EBAY AND PAYPAL. WE HAVE SUCCESSFULLY PROSECUTED ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION SINCE THE START OF OUR CAMPAIGN. ATTEMPT FRAUD WITH US AT YOUR OWN PERIL. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Please note that at this moment in time as the Segway PT or variations of, is not yet classified under any UK law, the Department for Transport have said that they are not allowed to be used in public areas such as the roads or pathways. We are working with the DfT to get the Segway PT sanctioned for use only on the roads and cycle ways. For now a rider should only use their Segway PT on private property.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION
The Role of the
Segway® Personal
Transporter (PT) in
Emissions Reduction
and Energy Efficiency
In December 2001, renowned inventor Dean Kamen
unveiled the Segway® Personal Transporter
(PT). Since then the way society looks at transportation
has changed considerably. Fuel prices have
risen, there is a greater awareness of the damage
caused by carbon dioxide and other greenhouse
gas emissions, and environmental and political
forces have de-stabilised the global petroleum
supply.
The Segway PT can help reduce dependence on
foreign oil, use the existing energy supply more efficiently,
and reduce pollution. Drivers in the United
States take approximately 900 million car trips per
day. The EPA estimates that half of those trips are
less than five miles long and transport only one
passenger—trips perfectly suited to the Segway
PT. As there are many forms of powered transportation
available today, this paper seeks to compare
their relative impact on the environment, both in
emissions created and energy consumed.
The methods for computation are explained in
detail in the following sections, but let us first present
a summary of statistics regarding the relative
emissions output and energy efficiency of the
Segway PT compared to other well-known transportation
devices.
The Segway PT does not produce any emissions
during operation. Its batteries do consume electricity
during recharge, and we have used the emissions
created during the generation and delivery as
the basis of our analysis. By comparing this to the
emissions generated during the refinement, transportation
and combustion of automotive fuel, we
can compare the Segway PT to traditional internal
combustion engines. This analysis also allows us to
measure relative source fuel efficiency.

Why Segway Failed To Reshape The World: Focused to Much On Invention, Rather Than Innovation (from the that-ain't-the-solution dept)
In January of 2001, word began to leak that Dean Kamen was working on something amazing that would change the world. If you were paying attention to tech news, you may recall it was everywhere. There was some book deal about it, and we were told that it was going to change the way cities were laid out and would absolutely revolutionize transportation. It had the blessing of Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos and John Doerr and was amazing. But no one knew what it was. Hell, it didn't even have a name. It was referred to either as IT or Ginger -- and there were all sorts of rumors about what IT might be. Eventually, of course, IT was revealed as the Segway. And while it was sorta kinda maybe cool, it hardly came close to living up to its original billing. It was expensive and not really all that useful for most people. Segway, the company, has gone through a merry-go-round of new CEOs and new strategies, none of which have gotten it out of a niche market.
Recently, in talking about how the Netflix Prize helped demonstrate the value of openness and collaboration when it came to innovation, rather than hoarding and taking the "inventor-knows-best" attitude towards things, Mark Blafkin of the Association for Competitive Technology (a tech industry lobbying group who tends to be a patent system supporter) took exception to what we said about the value of openness and collaboration instead of focusing on patents, by noting that Dean Kamen has also put a lot of effort into collaboration and prizes to award innovation, but also is a strong believer in patents (and, actually, making them stronger curbing innovation).
In response, I pointed out that Kamen's thinking on patents may actually explain part of the reason why Segway has struggled so much over the years. In believing so strongly in patents, it shows someone who tends to believe invention is more important than ongoing innovation, even as there's a growing body of evidence to suggest the exact opposite is true. Invention is the original idea, but innovation is an ongoing process of taking a product and adjusting and adapting it to the market. And we've been seeing more and more studies that note the innovation part is so much more important in determining the success and the economic contribution of a product.
So it seems like perfect timing to see Paul Graham's recent essay about why the Segway failed to change the world. He focuses mainly on the fact that the Segway design might have helped more people find it enticing. But at the end he notes:
"Curiously enough, what got Segway into this problem was that the company was itself a kind of Segway. It was too easy for them; they were too successful raising money. If they'd had to grow the company gradually, by iterating through several versions they sold to real users Instead they had enough to work in secret. They had focus groups aplenty, I'm sure, but they didn't have the people yelling insults out of cars. So they never realized they were zooming confidently down a blind alley".
Exactly. Again, this highlights the difference between invention (believing that you alone have come up with the perfect idea for a great product) and innovation (the ongoing iterative process of going back and forth with the market to test and understand what the market wants and how to make your product meet their needs). By focusing so much on the invention, Segway missed the real opportunity for innovation, and that's caused all sorts of problems for the company.

NB: Because of Segways inability to see past the Patent, it has given the Chinese a chance to catch up and pass them by, China may be very good copiers of someone else's idea however they are also innovative and forward thinking with what is put before them, not only improving the look of the Segway/Chegway they have made it affordable.

Preparing Your Scooter For Winters Cold Weather.
Summer is long gone and, for many PT owners, cold weather has arrived. To keep your PT in optimal condition
during the cold season, whether braving the elements for a brisk glide or placing your PT in hibernation until
spring, complete the checklists below. And remember, for detailed technical and safety related information, always
If you plan on storing your PT during cold weather (or long periods of time), do the following:
1- Protect your PT from the elements. Store it in a safe environment, with an ambient temperature of at least +4° F/+20° C or above.
2- Clean your PT.
3-Remove the Info Key battery.
4- Fully charge the PT batteries.*
5- If storing your PT longer than 1 month, remove the batteries—but be sure to charge your batteries at least every 3 months.
6- If storage temperature is below 32° F/0° C, do not charge your batteries. Instead, bring them into a warm (above 50° F/10° C) environment for charging. Doing so will ensure optimal battery life and performance.
7- Inflate your tires to the proper pressure.
8- You may want to cover your PT to prevent dust accumulation.
9- When you’re ready to glide, follow the Spring Prep checklist and you’ll be gliding in no time!
Winter Usage/Spring Prep
If you plan on gliding through the winter, or are prepping your PT for Spring, do the following:
1- When not gliding, we recommend keeping your PT in a warm (above 50° F/10° C), safe environment.
2- Clean your PT regularly; take special care to keep mats free of debris.
3- Keep a fresh battery in your InfoKey.
4- Gen II only: Ensure the Lean Steer is straight, then check the Lean Steer fastener torque; tighten to 11 N-m (8.1 ft-lbf) if necessary.
5- Keep your batteries charged.* If ambient temperature is below 32° F/0° C, do not charge your batteries. Instead, bring them into a warm (above 50° F/10° C) environment for charging. Doing so will ensure optimal battery life and
performance.
6- Inspect and inflate your tires to the proper pressure.
7- If you get a safety alert soon after you begin gliding in cold weather (below 32° F/0° C), try warming your PT up by bringing it into a warm environment for at least 30 minutes.
8- Glide safe and enjoy the ride!
NOTE:
If the above checklists are not followed, you may experience the following performance issues: safety shutdown, resulting in error codes ; discharged batteries; speed limiter engagement or stick shake warning; reduced range; steering drift; premature tire wear.
*As with all rechargeable batteries, do not charge near flammable material
