Front wheel or Rear wheel ?
If you decide to convert front wheel:
· Make sure that your bike with steel front forks, and also the forks must be strong enough.
· Front forks MUST be at least 100mm at the dropouts(where the axle fits into the forks )
· It is suitable for installing a disc brake.
If you decide to convert rear wheel:
· It has a better traction and handling than front wheel.
· Rear conversions require 135mm of space between the rear dropouts (this is standard for most bicycles)
· It is suitable for installing a disc brake.
How to judge if your bicycle is suitable for Electric bike conversion or not?
If you want to convert your bicycle to an Electric bike, just make sure that the front forks is ≥ 100mm(3.937in), or the rear dropouts is ≥135mm(5.315in), here we offer the following specification for your reference.

Q: Which wheel should I choose between front wheel and rear wheel?
Front wheel installation requirements:
o No less than 100mm between front dropouts (It almost be a common standard)
Advantage of front wheel:
o Easier to install without derailleur adjustments, you can use your original freewheel.
Disadvantage of front wheel:
o Decreased grip when you ride on steep inclines or in wet condition.
Rear wheel installation requirements:
o No less than 135mm between rear dropouts (It almost be a common standard)
Advantage of rear wheel:
o Better grip especially when you ride on steep inclines or in wet condition.
o Disc brake compatible.
Disadvantage of rear wheel:
o Limited to 6/7 speed freewheel. Available freewheels are 1 speed, 5 speed, 6 speed, or 7 speed .
o More steps than installation of front wheel.
Q: Which motor should I choose between 500W and 1000W?
A: The top range of 48V/500W and 48V/1000W are both 45KM if you use the same battery of 48V/20AH.The top speed of 500W is 40KM/H. The top speed of 1000W is 45KM/H. If you ride on steep inclines often, 1000W motor can offer more traction.
Q: Which battery should I choose between 48v/10AH and 48V/20AH?
A: The 48V 20AH battery can offer the more power, it means the longer riding distance. Of course, 48V/10AH is lighter and more affordable than 48V/20AH.If you want longer ranger, 48V/20AH is a good choice. Best match is 48V 10AH battery match to 48V500W motor . 48V20AH battery match to 48V1000W motor kit .
